A Fox C-6 School District student faces charges for allegedly tossing an object described as a “paint bomb” from a moving school bus and hitting a moving SUV. The paint also splashed back on the bus, causing $7,700 in damage to the two vehicles, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The incident occurred about 2:35 p.m. May 7 while the school bus was traveling on Jeffco Boulevard at Milanna Drive south of Arnold. The juvenile allegedly was seen “throwing a ‘paint bomb’ out of the driver’s-side passenger window where it struck a 2017 Honda CR-V.”
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said May 16 that the CR-V driver is a 31-year-old Imperial woman. No injuries were reported for her.
Since the suspect is a juvenile, Bissell said no other information about the suspect would be released. The case has been turned over to juvenile authorities, the report said.
