Two Arnold residents and two High Ridge residents recently were arrested for allegedly making methamphetamine, Arnold Police reported.
Arnold Police got a tip about a meth lab in a mobile home in the 600 block of Jeffco Boulevard, and when officers arrived at about 11:20 p.m. Feb. 1, a “strong chemical odor was emanating from inside the residence,” the report said.
Officers found an active meth lab and drug paraphernalia inside the home, and four people at the home were arrested.
The two who lived at the home – a 33-year-old man and 43-year-old woman, both from Arnold – were arrested for alleged possession and manufacture of meth, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
In addition, two guests – a 36-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, both of High Ridge – were arrested for alleged manufacture of meth, Ruckman said.
Those two also were wanted on outstanding warrants from a variety of law enforcement agencies, including Festus, Byrnes Mill and St. Louis County, the report said.
The Arnold residents were booked and released pending the application for warrants, and the High Ridge residents were booked and held for other law enforcement officials to pick them up.
Felony drug charges will be sought against all of them, Ruckman said.
The Jefferson County Municipal Enforcement Group Task Force was called to remove the meth lab and assist with the case, he said.
