Scott Michael Reinhardt II, 36, formerly of Arnold, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for sexually abusing girls and recording the abuse of one of the children. He previously was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for sexually abusing a girl and recording the abuse, as well as for secretly taking videos of a teen in a bathroom, court documents show.
Reinhardt pleaded guilty to one count of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy – deviate sexual intercourse with a person younger than 12 years old, one count of sexual exploitation of a minor child and one count of fourth-degree child molestation of a child less than 17 years old, court records said.
On April 8, Jefferson County Div. 5 Circuit Judge Victor J. Melenbrink sentenced him to 22 years each for the statutory sodomy charge and the sexual exploitation of a minor charge and four years for the child molestation charge. However, he will serve the three terms concurrently, or at the same time, according to court documents.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Michele Whitehead prosecuted the case.
Reinhardt pleaded guilty to producing child pornography in December 2021, and Judge Henry E. Autrey of the U.S. District Court handed down the 25-year sentence on March 9, the U.S. Attorney’s Office reported.
Between Feb. 1, 2020, and Dec. 13, 2020, Reinhardt used a cell phone to record himself abusing a girl younger than 10 years old. During that same time period, he molested a girl younger than 17, the probable-cause statements filed in Jefferson County said.
In November 2014, Reinhardt was sentenced in Jefferson County Circuit Court to five years in prison for two counts of statutory sodomy and one count of statutory rape. The victim in that case was younger than 16, according to the plea.
