A 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac pickup reported stolen Sept. 26 in Cedar Hill was found abandoned the next day in De Soto. The pickup was stolen from outside the Cedar Hill-Health Mart Pharmacy, 7032 Hwy. BB, where it was left with the windows down and the keys in the ignition, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
At 1:58 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office got a call from the victim who said she parked the pickup in front of the store before going inside to shop. She said she returned to the vehicle to put some items she had purchased inside it and then returned to the store to continue shopping. The next time she returned to the vehicle, it was gone, the report said.
After the vehicle, valued at $1,500, was found the following day, it was returned to the owner. As of Oct. 10, no arrests had been made, Cpl. Matthew Moore reported.
