Eureka Police patch

A 36-year-old Florissant man told Eureka Police that a man riding a motorcycle fired several shots at his 2008 Dodge Daytona in an apparent road rage incident.

The incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. Oct. 21 when the car exited I-44 at Six Flags Road, police reported.

The driver and passengers were not injured, but a bullet pierced the plastic part of the rear bumper before deflecting off a metal part and other bullets appeared to have deflected off the lower left side of the car, the report said.

After the incident, the Florissant man called police to the parking lot at the Eureka MotoMart, 5695 Fox Creek Road.

He told police he had inadvertently cut off the motorcycle while traveling south on I-270 near Manchester Road.

The Florissant man said he waved for the motorcycle to go around him after changing lanes, but the motorcycle continued to follow the driver when he exited to travel west on I-44 and then when he exited at Six Flags road, the report said.

At that point, the man told police, the motorcyclist pulled out a handgun and fired four to six times at his car, according to the report.

The motorcycle operator was described as a white male with a beard, wearing a sleeveless black leather jacket and multiple tattoos on both arms, the report said. A blonde female passenger on the motorcycle was wearing a pink shirt and black helmet, the report said.

The make and model of the motorcycle was unknown, thought it was described as a chopper-style bike, the report said.

As of Monday (Oct. 30), there were no suspects or arrests, Eureka Police Lt. David Wilson said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
