A home in the 7400 block of Mulberry Road in Barnhart was damaged by fire on the afternoon of March 14. No one was living in the home, which was being rehabbed, Rock Community Fire Protection District reported.
Firefighters arrived at the home at 3:01 p.m. and saw smoke coming from roof vents. They entered the home through the front door and quickly had the fire under control, the report said.
Rock Fire is investigating the cause of the blaze, which began in a first-floor hallway, spokeswoman Stephanie Jackson said.
She said the less than 25 percent of the home was damaged.
The Antonia and Dunklin fire protection districts helped with the call, and the Rock Township Ambulance District responded to the scene.
