Festus Police patch

Festus Police are seeking two men who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint while he was walking at Central Avenue and Valentine Street. The incident occurred about 10:30 p.m. Jan. 19, Capt. Doug Wendel said.

“The victim said two white males pulled a gun on him,” Wendel said. “The victim is a 22-year-old Festus man. He was walking on Central and turning onto Valentine. He said he saw a black gun.”

Wendel said the victim told police he did not know the suspects. He also said the suspects sole a phone, a backpack and a coat from him. Altogether, the stolen items were valued at $950.

The victim told police one of the assailants looked like he was 19 to 20 years old and the other looked to be 17 to 19. Both were described as 5-foot-7-inches to 5-foot-8-inches tall and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds, Wendel said.

Both were wearing black sweatpants. One wore a green hoodie and a gray sock cap and the other wore a black hoodie and a yellow sock cap with a black stripe, the victim reported.
