Festus Police are investigating the theft of display phones during a recent overnight break-in of the Verizon store, 1127 W. Gannon Drive.
Chief Doug Wendel said the break-in occurred between 7 p.m. July 18 and 9 a.m. July 19.
“Someone broke into the Verizon store and stole display phones,” Wendel said July 25. “They’re still doing inventory, so it is not yet known how many were stolen. So, there is no estimated value yet.”
He said the intruder forced entry into building.
“They busted out a window,” Wendel said.
No arrests have been made and no items have been recovered, he said.
