Festus Police are investigating the reported theft of multiple packages from the porch of a residence in the 100 block of Scenic Lane.
Chief Doug Wendel said the victim reported the incident April 18 after determining the thefts had occurred April 15.
“It happened the morning of April 15,” Wendel said. “They were Amazon package deliveries. Eight or nine packages were stolen. They have a total estimated value is $850.”
As of April 23, Wendel said no arrests have been made and no items have been recovered.
He said Festus had not had a prior problem with porch pirate thefts.
“Not a whole lot of reports, knock on wood,” he said.
