A drive-by shooting early today (Aug. 25) broke windows and left several bullet holes in a Festus house, but caused no injuries, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis reports.
Lewis said the incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of Scenic Drive.
“Somebody drove by and fired several shots into the residence,” he said. “The house was occupied, but they didn’t see anything.”
Lewis said a man and a woman were inside the house when the shooting occurred.
“No one was hit. They were very lucky,” Lewis said. “A couple of windows were shot out.”
He said he did not have an estimated for the damage.
“I’d say several thousand dollars,” Lewis said.
He said the incident is under investigation.
