A 21-year-old Festus man was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at another man’s face during an argument at McDonald’s, 1150 W. Gannon Drive, in Festus. The incident happened about 9:30 p.m. May 30, and the Festus man was arrested shortly thereafter, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the Festus man allegedly pointed the gun at a 19-year-old Pevely-area man while they were on the McDonald’s parking lot.
“We had witnesses corroborate the victim’s story. We got a description from the victim and a short time after, officers stopped a red 1996 Ford Ranger across the street on the Home Depot parking lot (in Festus).”
He said the suspect was released pending application for warrants.
