A 29-year-old Fenton woman was arrested after she allegedly broke into LA Rays tanning salon, 1164 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, and appeared to be putting merchandise into a box behind the sales counter. The owner called police after seeing the woman in the store’s surveillance video, police reported.
Officers were called at about 9 p.m. Aug. 18. When they arrived, the front door of the salon was open, but it is not known how the woman opened the door, the report said.
The woman allegedly tried to run away from the officers, but they were able to restrain her and place her in custody. The woman allegedly appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic and was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where she was examined and determined to be fit for confinement, according to the report.
She was then taken to Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro because she was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on a felony warrant for drug charges, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for burglary and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
