A 26-year-old Fenton woman has been arrested for allegedly shooting and killing a man Sunday night, May 22, at a home in the 100 block of Harford Court in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton.
Charles Holt, 51, of Fenton was killed in the shooting.
The Fenton woman was being held Monday in Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro while the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office reviewed the incident, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office got a call at approximately 11:50 p.m. about the shooting. When deputies arrived, they found Holt lying in front of the house with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Investigators believe the shooting was the result of a domestic dispute, according to the report.
