A 26-year-old Fenton man was arrested for alleged possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine after Arnold Police officers spotted him driving a compact car with a sofa strapped to the roof. In addition, the car was missing a rear bumper, Arnold Police reported.
At 11:58 p.m. May 24, officers saw the man pull up to a gas pump at the Circle K gas station, 504 Jeffco Blvd., in a 1998 Ford Escort. Officers questioned him about hauling a large item on a small car and driving a car without a rear bumper and then asked to look in his fanny pack, which allegedly contained meth, the report said.
The man was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of meth, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
