A youth sports coach from Fenton has been charged with sexual misconduct involving a child. Trevor White, 41, has been coaching youth athletics for more than 10 years, the St. Louis County Police reported.
White was charged on Sept. 29 with enticement or attempted enticement of a child, an unclassified felony that carries a penalty of five to 30 years in prison, and sexual misconduct involving a child, a class E felony punishable by up to four years in prison. He was being held Monday on a $100,000 cash-only bond, court documents show.
According to the probable-cause statement, White texted a child he believed was younger than 15 and allegedly requested indecent pictures from the child. He also allegedly offered to meet the child to engage in sexual activities.
St. Louis County Police Crimes Against Persons detectives are leading this investigation, and the investigators suspect there may be more victims.
