A 55-year-old Eureka woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she was stopped near the intersection of O’Sullivan Avenue and Main Street. The woman allegedly registered a .096 percent blood-alcohol content, Eureka Police reported.
In Missouri, .08 percent is the legal limit.
At about 1:30 a.m. Oct. 3, an officer saw a 2013 Honda Accord sitting idle while straddling the southbound lane of Six Flags Road and the right turn lane onto Hwy. 66. When the officer approached the car, the woman turned right onto the highway before making a right turn at a red light onto O’Sullivan Avenue, the report said.
The officer followed the car and turned on the patrol car’s lights and siren to stop the woman. When the officer asked her if she had been drinking, the woman allegedly said she had been at the Diamond Music Hall in St. Peters from about 8 p.m. to midnight, according to the report.
The woman allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released to a sober driver, the report said.
The woman was issued a summons to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for alleged DWI, Capt. Michael Werges said.
