A 38-year-old Jefferson County man is wanted for questioning after he allegedly used a bogus check to purchase a guitar and sound system at about 3 p.m. July 29 at Eureka Music, 149 Eureka Towne Center Drive. The store reported the incident on Aug. 3, Eureka Police reported.
The man wrote a check for $1,303 from an account that had insufficient funds and that had possibly been closed, the report said.
“This individual is wanted elsewhere on similar crimes,” Capt. David Wilson said on Aug. 16. “It is still under investigation.”
