Eureka Police arrested a 23-year-old Fenton man for allegedly driving while intoxicated after the pickup he was driving was seen swerving while traveling east on I-44. The man allegedly registered a .145 percent blood-alcohol content, police reported. In Missouri, .08 percent is the legal limit.
At about 3 a.m. Jan. 12, an officer saw a 2014 Toyota Tacoma continuously speeding up and slowing down and swerving between lanes on I-44. The officer stopped the pickup near Williams Road, the report said.
The man driving the pickup allegedly told the officer he drank a couple of beers at a friend’s house. The man allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested, according to the report.
The man was booked and released to a sobor driver, the report said.
He was issued summonses to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for alleged DWI and improper lane use, Capt. Michael Werges said.
