Eureka Police arrested a Pacific woman for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following an accident near the intersection of Six Flags Road and Hwy. 66. The 46-year-old woman allegedly registered a blood-alcohol content level more than three times the legal limit, police report.
The woman allegedly registered a .260 percent blood-alcohol content, the report said. In Missouri, .08 percent is the legal limit.
Officers were called to the intersection at about 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27. The suspect, who was driving a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, allegedly hit a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox from behind in the left-turn lane from Six Flags Road to Hwy. 66, the report said.
A 31-year-old Villa Ridge woman was driving the Equinox. She told officers she was stopped at the stop light when the Wrangler hit her SUV from behind, according to the report.
The woman driving the Wrangler allegedly failed field sobriety tests, and she was arrested. She was taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released to a sober driver, the report said.
The woman was given a summons to appear in Eureka Municipal Court for alleged DWI, Capt. Michael Werges said.
