Eureka Fire Protection District crews worked to put out a small fire in the wall of a home in the 1000 block of Eureka Road on Monday, Oct. 21, Deputy Chief William Stamberger said.
He said Eureka Fire was dispatched at 3:25 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 3:30 p.m.
No one required medical attention because of the fire, and Stamberger said crews were back in service within 40 minutes.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined, Stamberger said on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
“When a fire occurs in the wall, other than a lightning strike, usually something electrical is what started it,” he said.
Metro West, High Ridge, Fenton, and Pacific fire protection districts, along with the Meramec Ambulance District provided mutual aid at the scene of the fire.
