The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a pickup from outside a home in the 5300 block of Gloucester Road in High Ridge. The pickup was found abandoned in the same neighborhood in the 5400 block of Winthrop Drive, but lawn equipment and tools from the truck were missing, authorities reported.
The green and tan 2001 Ford F-250 was stolen between about 10:30 p.m. June 8 and 6:20 a.m. June 9 from the victim’s driveway. The pickup was recovered at about 2:30 p.m. June 9, but two gas hedge trimmers, another gas trimmer, a gas leaf blower and four black toolboxes that had been stored in a camper shell on the back of the pickup were gone. Altogether, the pickup and tools had been valued at about $33,000, the report said.
As of June 14, none of the stolen lawn equipment and tools had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Sheriff’s office spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
