The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a person who stole a 2006 Dodge Caravan from outside a home in the 300 block of Hill Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The woman who owns the van told deputies she believes a man who she lived with may have stolen the van, authorities reported.
The van was recovered in Springfield, Ill., the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The woman told deputies she parked the van outside the home at about 2 a.m. Sept. 22. She said she had the van’s keys when she went into the house, but when she woke up at about 9 a.m., the keys and van were gone, according to the report.
She told deputies she recently was having issues with a man who lives in the home. She said multiple people live at the house, the report said.
As of Sept. 25, no suspects had been identified, and no one had been arrested, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
