A 39-year-old Arnold man has been identified as a person of interest in the theft of DJ equipment worth $4,395 from Life Storage in Arnold. The man was arrested earlier this year for similar thefts at the same storage unit business, 3850 Vogel Road, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
A 51-year-old Arnold man called police at about 11:40 a.m. May 18 to report the theft of the DJ equipment from a storage unit he rents at Life Storage. He said he discovered the equipment missing on April 23 but believed the theft may have occurred between Nov. 19, 2022, and Nov. 21, 2022, when his lock was not working properly. The business replaced it with a new lock after that period, the report said.
The man said he didn’t notice anything missing from his storage unit in November, but when he returned on April 23, the new lock was broken and the equipment had been removed, according to the report.
Christopher said the Arnold man was arrested on Jan. 13 in connection with other thefts from Life Storage. As of May 24, the man had not been arrested in connection with the theft of the DJ equipment, Christopher added.
Anyone whose items were stolen from Life Storage between November 2022 and the start of this year is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
