A diaper bag filled with cloth diapers was among numerous items recently stolen from vehicles parked outside a home in the 6000 block of Cedar Trail in Dittmer. The incident was reported at 7:44 p.m. Dec. 14, but the victim said the items were stolen Dec. 12, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The items were stolen from three unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway. In addition to the diaper bag and diapers, stolen items included eyeglasses, knives, a vase, a baby mirror and clothing, including pants, T-shirts, a sweatshirt and a sock cap. In all, the items were valued at $1,045, the report said.
As of Thursday (Dec. 28), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
