De Soto Police are investigating the theft of a handgun from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Pratt Street. The theft occurred between Sunday and Monday (Aug. 6-7), Police Chief Rick Draper said.
A black Taurus handgun with two loaded magazines was stolen. It was worth an estimated $569, he said.
“The owner said he thought the vehicle was locked,” Draper said. “There was no damage to the vehicle and no pry marks to indicate the doors were locked.”
