De Soto Police arrested three people for a variety of alleged drug offenses on May 15.

At 7:47 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle near Main and Miller streets and gained permission from the occupants to search it, De Soto Police Chief Rick Draper said.

During the search, the officer allegedly found a plastic bag containing marijuana, 18 capsules filled with a powder substance and syringes, Draper said.

A 23-year-old De Soto woman was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, a 29-year-old De Soto man was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana and a 30-year-old Arnold man was arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance, Draper said.

All suspects were booked and released pending application for warrants. The seized drugs will be sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Lab for testing, he said.
