Arnold Police arrested a 48-year-old Crystal City woman for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop. The woman allegedly registered a .196 percent blood-alcohol content, which is more than twice the legal limit, police reported.

In Missouri, the legal limit is .08 percent.

An officer stopped a 2011 Nissan Versa at 2:05 a.m. Nov. 13 on Jeffco Boulevard near Richardson Road because the car was not properly registered. The officer said the woman was impaired, and she allegedly failed field sobriety tests, the report said.

After arresting the woman, the officer learned she was wanted on an active warrant by St. Louis County Police. She was taken to the police station, where she was held for St. Louis County Police, according to the report.

The woman also was issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged DWI, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
