Arnold Police are trying to find a 58-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both of Arnold, after they allegedly stole items from a home they were renting in the 1900 block of Lonedell Road. The two, who also allegedly damaged items in the home, had been evicted, police reported.
After they were evicted on Dec. 22, the property owner, a 69-year-old Imperial man, said he discovered damage to exterior and interior doors, kitchen cabinets, a water heater, electric panel and rear deck gate, as well as holes in the drywall, stained and ripped carpet, broken windows, and missing kitchen tiles and blinds. He estimated the damage at $3,500, the report said.
The victim also told police he believed the couple, who had rented the home from him for about three years, also stole a refrigerator and stove. Those two appliances were worth about $1,400 combined, according to the report.
As of Jan. 6, police had not located the couple, and the missing items had not been recovered, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the couple or the missing items to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
