A counterfeit $50 bill recently was passed at Taco Bell, 1932 Richardson Road, in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.
The bill was used at the restaurant on Oct. 13, the report said.
Security equipment may have caught the transaction, according to the report.
The case has been turned over to the U.S. Secret Service, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
