Arnold Police are investigating the recent theft of about $3,000 in copper wire from behind JL Dental, 1904 Richardson Road.
Between noon on Oct. 4 and 8:40 a.m. Oct. 7, someone cut the copper wire behind the dental office at the base of the electric meter, as well as at an Ameren utility pole on Richardson Road about 70 yards away from the business and then stole three electrical wires, Arnold Police reported.
As a result, the dental office was left without electricity, the report said
Also, the theft caused about $2,000 in damage, in addition to the $3,000 loss for the stolen wire, according to the report.
No arrests had been made as of Oct. 16, said Capt. Bill Bonsack.
