A 50-year-old De Soto-area man, a convicted felon, recently was arrested for alleged possession of a firearm, says Lt. Gary Higginbotham of the Sheriff’s Office.
Since the suspect is a convicted felon, he is not allowed to have a firearm, Higginbotham said.
At 6:52 p.m. March 15, the Sheriff’s Office got a call about a disturbance in the 4400 block of Bourbon Farms Road, and deputies found the man there with a firearm, Higginbotham said.
The disturbance involved neighbors, and guns were fired during the incident, Higginbotham said.
