Laptop computers and cameras, altogether valued at about $1,270, recently were stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Winter Park Drive in the Fenton area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
The theft happened between Nov. 4 and Nov. 6, when someone unlawfully entered the home and stole a Toshiba laptop and a Lenovo laptop, as well as a JVD camcorder and a Nikon digital camera, the report said.
There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
The theft wasn’t reported until Nov. 22 because the victim said she thought she knew who stole the items and was hoping to get them back without calling the Sheriff’s Office.
As of Tuesday (Nov. 24), the items had not been recovered, and there were no arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
