traffic accident patrol patch

A 21-year-old Cedar Hill woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after crashing a car at Cedar Hill Road and Laurel Lane in Cedar Hill early Thursday morning, Nov. 16, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 12:20 a.m., the woman was driving a westbound 2016 Toyota Corolla when she reportedly swerved to avoid a deer and traveled off the right side of the road, where the car struck a ditch and overturned, the report said.

The woman was moderately injured and taken to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, according to the report.

She was arrested for the alleged DWI and held at the hospital until her release.

The woman’s name will not be published unless charges are filed against her, and as of Friday, Nov. 17, none had been filed.

The woman was wearing a seat belt, and the Toyota was totaled, the report said.
