A 48-year-old Cedar Hill man wanted in Franklin County on a warrant for aggravated assault was arrested Wednesday (Oct. 13) following a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 30 east of Local Hillsboro Road in Cedar Hill. A St. Louis woman and child were injured in the crash, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

At 4:35 p.m., Erica C. Hensel, 35, of St. Louis was driving a 2014 Audi A4 west on the highway and ran into the rear of a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country van that was stopped for a red light. The Cedar Hill man was driving the van, the report said.

No injuries were reported for him. However, Hensel and a 12-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Audi were moderately injured and taken by Big River Ambulance to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, according to the report.

All those involved in the accident were wearing seat belts, the patrol reported.

The two vehicles were totaled, the report said.

The highway patrol arrested the Cedar Hill man at 5:37 p.m., and he was being held at the Jefferson County Jail, according to the report.
