The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of catalytic converters from four motor homes parked at Custom RV and Boat Storage, 5601 Hwy. 61-67, in Imperial. The thefts were reported to the Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 23, spokesman Grant Bissell said.
The only victim deputies were able to talk to said he had last seen his 2016 Fleet Motorhome intact about a week and a half before the theft was reported. The catalytic converter stolen from the Fleet Motorhome was valued at about $1,100, the report said.
As of Feb. 2, deputies were still trying to contact the owners of the other motor homes, Bissell said.
He also said none of the stolen catalytic converters had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
