The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of catalytic converters from box trucks parked outside Avis Car Rental, 4039 Jeffco Blvd., south of Arnold. The converters were cut off a 2017 Ford E-350 and a 2024 Ford E-350, the Sheriff's Office reported.
The thefts were reported at about 1 p.m. Jan. 7, and an employee said the thefts occurred between Dec. 31 and that date, the report said.
The Sheriff’s Office does not provide estimated values for stolen items.
As of Jan. 12, the converters had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
