Arnold Police are investigating the thefts of catalytic converters from two pickups left to be repaired at Christian Brothers Automotive, 2019 Church Road. The converters were cut off a 2014 GMC Sierra owned by Mercy Hospital South and a 2006 Dodge Ram owned by a 35-year-old Antonia man, police reported.
The pickups were left at the repair shop on March 22. When an employee went to get the Ram and drive it into a garage bay for repair at about 2 p.m. March 25, the catalytic converter was missing, the report said.
Employees then checked other vehicles left outside the business to be repaired and found that the converter was cut off the Sierra, too, according to the report.
The cost to repair the Ram was estimated at $1,250, and the damage to the Sierra was estimated at $1,780, Arnold Police reported.
As of April 7, the converters had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. Anyone with information about the thefts should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
