A catalytic converter was stolen off a recreational vehicle parked outside St. Louis RV Storage, 1500 S. Outer Road, in Eureka. Surveillance footage showed a sedan arrive at the lot and someone get out of that vehicle and under the RV, Eureka Police reported.
At about 2:30 a.m. March 12, someone turned into the lot from an access road after removing traffic cones and a chain to gain access to the road. The surveillance video showed the sedan park near the east side of the business and someone get under a 2018 RV for a short period before leaving the lot via the access road, the report said.
The converter was valued at about $1,000, according to the report.
As of March 25, the converter had not been recovered, and the person seen in the video had not been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
