Festus Police are investigating the recent theft of a catalytic converter from a company truck at General Appliance, 639 N. Creek Drive. The damage to the truck was estimated at $3,000, Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the theft happened between 7 p.m. Feb. 8 and 8 a.m. Feb. 9.
“We had officers respond to General Appliance and they contacted an employee,” Lewis said. “The employee reported someone had stolen a catalytic converter off a 2016 box truck.”
The catalytic converter had not been recovered and no arrests had been made as of Feb. 15, Lewis said. Anyone with information is urged to call Festus Police at 636-937-3646.
