A catalytic converter was cut off a cargo van parked outside a business in the 400 block of Biltmore Drive in unincorporated Fenton. The van belongs to Enterprise Leasing, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The man who drives the 2021 Nissan NV 200 van for the company that leases it parked the vehicle outside the business on Biltmore Drive at about 5 p.m. Nov. 16. When the man returned the morning of Nov. 17, he discovered the catalytic converter had been stolen, the report said.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said the report of the theft did not say who the man worked for or what company the van was leased to.
The converter was valued at $1,200, according to the report.
As of Nov. 19, the converter had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
