Cash and gift cards recently were stolen from Buzzi Unicem USA in the 1000 block of River Cement Road in the Festus area. The burglary happened Jan. 27, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
In addition to some cash, gift cards for St. Louis-area restaurants and stores were stolen. In all, the stolen cash and gift cards were valued at $1,050, the report said.
There were no signs of forced entry into the business, so the victim said the burglar may have used a key to get inside, according to the report.
As of Wednesday (Feb. 8), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no arrests, said Capt. Gary Higginbotham. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
