The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two car break-ins at InstaCredit Automart, 4040 Jeffco Blvd., just south of Arnold. The cars were damaged, and radios were stolen from them, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The incident occurred between Sept. 1 and 10:30 a.m. Sept. 4, when someone broke into a 2012 Ford Fusion and a 2011 Ford Taurus. The left rear passenger window was broken on the Fusion, and the driver’s-side door handle and lock cylinder were removed. In addition, the driver’s-side door handle and lock cylinder were removed from the Taurus and the dashboards in both cars were damaged, the report said.
The damage was estimated at $2,500, and the radios were valued at $500 each, according to the report.
As of Sept. 24, the radios had not been recovered and there were no arrests, Capt. Andy Sides of the Sheriff’s Office said. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
