Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a car from the parking lot outside the Villa Apartments in the 1200 block of Airglades Drive. The blue 2017 Hyundai Elantra was worth about $6,000, police reported.
A 29-year-old Arnold man said he parked the car at about 5 p.m. Oct. 1 and discovered it missing at about 9:45 a.m. Oct. 2. A credit card left in the Elantra was used to make purchases at businesses in St. Louis, but it was not known which businesses the cards were used at and how much was charged at each location, the report said.
Investigators do not know if the car was locked and if the keys were left inside when the car was stolen, according to the report.
As of Oct. 4, the car had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
