Property valued at $20,000 reportedly was stolen from a Fenton landscaping business, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Matthew Moore said an employee of the Award Landscaping Group, in the 1000 block of Gravois Road, left the business at 7:30 p.m. June 4, but when he returned early the next day, he discovered that his Ford pickup had been broken into and the keys stolen.
The victim said the keys likely were used to open a storage bin, from which about $17,000 in landscaping tools and a tandem-axle trailer valued at around $3,000 were taken.
As of June 29, the stolen items had not been recovered and no arrests had been made, Moore said.
