The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about a burglary at a home in the 5300 block of Terry Drive in High Ridge.
Between 5 p.m. June 28 and 2 p.m. June 30, someone broke into the home and stole numerous pieces of jewelry and a 55-inch LG, 3D and high-definition TV, altogether worth about $10,000, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
Capt. Ralph Brown of the Sheriff’s Office said the thief may have been someone the victim knows since it appears the person had a code to get into the home’s garage.
It looked like once the thief was inside the garage, he or she used a putty knife to break into the house, the report said
Deputies found the putty knife they believe was used, as well as a piece of cloth with blood on it that did not belong to the victim. Both items were seized as evidence, according to the report.
As of Friday (July 5), no arrests had been made, Brown said.
He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
