Arnold Police are investigating a report of a shot fired at a vehicle on Hwy. 141 in a road-rage incident. Police found a bullet that looked like it was fired through a rear door of the vehicle and then lodged in a passenger-side seat. No one was struck by the bullet or hurt, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
The incident happened about 3 p.m. Aug. 30, after the victim, a 17-year-old Fenton man, allegedly was driving on southbound I-55 approaching Hwy. 141, where a woman driving a blue Chrysler with Illinois plates on it cut off the teen. The 17-year-old said he then cut off the woman and exited onto Hwy. 141, where the suspect pulled out what looked like a turquoise-colored handgun and shot at his vehicle, striking the rear door, Wooldridge said.
As of Oct. 4, no suspects had been identified, Wooldridge said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
