A space heater recently was reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Glass Street in Festus, which is being rehabbed, Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
The theft occurred between Dec. 9 and Dec. 11, he said.
Lewis said the victims reported that the front door to the home had been damaged.
“The owners had last been there Dec. 9 and when they returned Dec. 11, they found forced entry at the front door,” Lewis said.
He said he did not have an estimate for the stolen space heater and the damage to the door.
