The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft and up to $20,000 in property damage at the Mobil on the Run convenience store, 1727 Catlin Drive, in Barnhart. The incident occurred April 13, the report said.

At 3:59 a.m., a Silver Chevrolet Trailblazer occupied by four men damaged a fuel pump while fleeing from the station after allegedly stealing gas and liquor. The stolen gas totaled $52.75, and the stolen liquor cost $17.49. The damage to the pump was estimated at $15,000 to $20,000, according to the report.

As of April 26, no arrests had been made, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
