The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help to find Dalton L. Roney, 26, of House Springs, who was last seen at about 6:40 p.m. Feb. 1 walking near Tower Road and Hillsboro House Springs Road in House Springs, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

Before that Roney had been at his mother’s home on Meadowlark Lane in House Springs, and when he left there, he did not have a vehicle, the report said.

When Roney was last seen, he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, according to the report.

Capt. Andy Sides said the family reported Roney missing, and the Sheriff’s Office has been trying to locate him ever since then.

Sides said Roney had made suicidal statements before he went missing.

“This raises concerns for us that he still hasn’t been located,” Sides said. “We wanted to get this (missing person) poster back out there and reach out to the community. We’re trying to get another lead.”

Roney is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has tattoos, including ones on his calves, arms and a bird on the left side of his abdomen, the report said.

The Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who has seen Roney or has any information about his whereabouts to contact the Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.

“It’s been a month and a half and we’ve done everything we could do,” Sides said. “We need the public to help us.”
