An ATV and other items recently were stolen from the bed of a pickup parked in the 13000 block of Klondike Road in the De Soto area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
At about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 24, someone stole the red and white, 90s- model Yamaha Warrior ATV, along with a camouflage-colored Diamond Razor Edge compound bow and two green and camouflage-colored Summit Viper climbing tree stands, altogether valued at $3,150, the report said.
A neighbor told deputies that at about 11:30 p.m. the night the items went missing, she heard what sounded like an ATV shifting quickly and headed south on Klondike, according to the report.
Deputies observed prints on the pickup and another vehicle parked in the driveway, and the areas were swabbed for DNA, which was sent to a lab for analysis, the report said.
As of Friday (Oct. 31), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, said Capt. Ron Arnhart of the Sheriff’s Office.
He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
